The Wholehearted Actor with Clare Lopez

The WholeHearted Actor stands out for its trauma-informed, consent-based teaching style that prioritizes the performer’s well-being as much as their artistic progress. Clare combines industry expertise with a heart-centered philosophy, helping actors navigate the emotional demands of the craft safely and sustainably. She emphasizes honoring the actor's instincts and discovering where the text lives in the breath and body. "I want actors to find connection and full body listening through physical exploration, improvisation, imaginative work, vocal technique and environment work," Clare Lopez explains about her coaching process. Her methods blend practical tools—like audition taping and branding—with mindset coaching that encourages vulnerability, confidence, and personal empowerment. Clare is deeply passionate about supporting neurodivergent actors, and actors of color as they navigate systemic barriers.
